Old Spanish Trail Cut-off Trail

Beginning at the Black Ridge staging area at mile marker 113 on Hwy-191 south of Moab, the Old Spanish Trail Cut-off Trail starts with a short climb before quickly descending to the bottom of the Kane Creek wash. The trail then follows the drainage downstream and is mostly composed of doubletrack, sand, grit and cobble. Some walking may be necessary. At the end of the trail, you can climb up the embankment and ride to the highway rest area or the Kane Creek Canyon Trail / Pipeline trailhead, or stay in the creek bed for a mile until you reach the Kane Creek Canyon Trail.
