House on Fire

This pleasant trail follows a creek bed to an archaeological site known as House On Fire. This dwelling is especially accessible due to its short distance from the trailhead, and its name comes from the swirly, striated patterns on the rock roof which turn a brilliant red in certain lights, making it look like the roof is on fire.
