Honaker Trail

It's almost unbelievable that there is a way down to the San Juan River in the region, but in 1893 Henry Honaker created a trail to be used as a supply route for gold prospectors.

Unfortunately, the gold mining venture did not pan out and it is said Honaker only earned enough gold to make a wedding ring for his wife.
