This trail is starts at the 1.4 mile mark of Arch Canyon Trail. While Arch Canyon Trail is certainly worth exploring, if you're short on time, you won't miss out on much by skipping the last section. Instead, veer onto the Butts Canyon Trail for a fun little diversion.
Take in the breathtaking scenery as you travel up the canyon floor and leave the ponderosa pines behind. Just a heads up, this trail isn't frequently maintained, so it can be quite faint. While hiking, you'll spend plenty of time crossing over and trekking through a perennial stream.
