Dark Canyon was established to offer a unique, immersive experience within the Bears Ears National Monument while actively contributing to its protection and preservation. The resort is designed to restore and safeguard this rare piece of private property, including its archaeological sites and artifacts, ensuring they remain untouched for future generations. This project envisions a sustainable off-grid resort, focusing on limited development to protect the sensitive environment. The resort will offer a select number of accommodations and exclusive experiences designed to deepen guest’s appreciation of the unique landscapes, rich culture, and ancient heritage of Southeast Utah. Dark Canyon is committed to sourcing goods and services locally and supporting the surrounding communities.
