On Thursday January 21st the USU Small Business Development Center is hosting a Small Business Roundtable to put business owners in touch with area representatives of the US Small Business Administration, the Small Business Development Center and representatives from Senator Mitt Romney’s Office. The roundtable is scheduled from 3- 4pm.
The purpose of this meeting is to review COVID-19’s effects on businesses in San Juan County. Included will be a discussion of, and a chance to evaluate, the SBA’s efforts in helping businesses through the past year.
To help keep attendees safe the event will be hosted online. The event will be streamed live from the host location with designated in persons attending required to wear masks and observing social distancing recommendations.
Meghan McFall, Director of USU’s Blanding Small Business Development Center has some suggestions for making the round table a success:
-
Find a quiet location without background noise
-
Turn on your video so that others can see you
-
Commit to attending without distractions: avoid driving, walking, or multitasking during the roundtable.
And bear in mind that the meeting will be recorded so even though you do your best thinking in your bathrobe you might want to spruce up a little bit, at least the part of you visible to the camera.
