Photographing Night Skies Presentation
Please join us at Tsé Bii’ Ndzisgaii Community Center for the "Photographing Night Skies Presentation" on April 18th, 2024. Starting at 5:30 PM. Instructor: John Gregor of ColdSnap Photography In the modern world, there are only a few places where the saying "Dark as Night" is still relevant. One of those places is the desert around Monument Valley. In this presentation, professional photographer and photographic educator John Gregor will guide you through his entire photographic process, from the initial concept to the final image, for night sky photography. During the presentation, Gregor will cover various topics such as how to plan a night shoot, including when and where to go, how to choose your lens, how to focus in the dark, and how to calculate exposure, including aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. Additionally, he will teach you how to capture the Milky Way, star trails, light up your foreground, and much more. This comprehensive presentation will provide you with all the knowledge you need to prepare for a night of photography. Please note that this presentation is not about Astrophotography, but rather how to capture landscape photographs that include the night sky.
