Lockhart Canyon Trail

Lockhart Canyon is a great spot for bikers to explore the Colorado River shoreline. The road conditions can vary greatly, from being rideable to completely unrideable if it is dry and churned up. Maintenance on the road is unreliable, so your shuttle vehicle may have even more difficulty, depending on the recent flooding. This is an incredibly remote area, so it is important to be well-prepared and have a plan before heading out. Once you reach the river, you may have difficulty accessing it due to quicksand and thick brush, so make sure you bring enough drinking water with you.
