Kane Gulch to Junction & Turkey Pen Ruins

Go on an adventure in a remote area to discover ancient Anasazi ruins and a picturesque canyon. Begin the journey at the ranger station, and then trek through a grassy pathway for one mile until you reach the canyon.

Seven miles in, you will find the Turkey Pen Ruin, with plenty of houses and a kiva to explore. The highlight here is a set of sticks that have been standing for a millennium, believed to be used as a pen to contain turkeys. Additionally, there are petroglyphs on the wall. This is the turnaround point of the Kane Gulch Trail.
