If you're looking for a scenic ride that won't be too challenging, the Hurrah Pass Jeep Road Trail is a great option. Beginning at the mouth of Kane Creek, the gravel Kane Springs road winds through sandstone walls for about 4 miles before the canyon widens. After 3 more miles, the road crosses Kane Creek and starts to climb up towards the pass. Be sure not to continue following the creek, as the route turns to sand quickly. From the pass, you can see the Anticline Overlook, which is a 35-mile drive away on dirt roads. You can also continue on to Chicken Corners or Lockhart Basin, but the road will become worse. It's best to visit on a weekday or during the off-season to avoid the noise, dust and fumes of passing vehicles.
