Art History Video Series

At the Monticello Public Library

Every Thursday at 5:30pm

This is a free and educational video series made available by the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC.  Each presentation is approximately 30 minutes in length and is appropriate for all audiences, school-age and above. 

Beginning with Ancient Egyption Art, the first episode will be 'Treasures of Tutankhamun'.  As the series continues, it will next focus on 'Egyptian Tombs and Temples', then on to 'Greek Art and Architecture'.

The presentations are currently planned for every Thursday at 5:30pm throughout the winter and spring of 2012.

Saturday, February 25th:

6:30am- Shuttles begin loading in front of Visitor Center, 7:00-9:00am- Launch Sites near Rain God Mesa and flight area, 11:00-5:00pm- Entertainment near Visitor Center, 6:45-8:00pm- Night Glow at campground near Visitor Center

Sunday, Feburary 26th:

Entry fees: $45/individual, $90/Two person team, $135/Three person team

*Entry fee includes dri-mesh shirt, lunch, and awards

Team Categories: All Male, All Female, Mixed, Family, Youth 18 & Under

Individual Catagories: 18 & Under, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 & Up

Distances:

4 mile Cross Country (groomed trail), 25 mile Bike (all pavement), 5 mile Run (all pavement)

This group plays Bluegrass, Classic Country, and Swing Music.  Combining 170 years of experience, they blend harmonies with smoking instrumental breaks.  The Salt Lake Tribune says, 'when it comes to locally produeced bluegrass bands, it's hard to do better.'  A regional band with national recognition, and a show you won't want to miss.
